He's mine.

Not sure how I missed this picture either taken February 9th.
Goodness. He makes me LOL for reals :)
Chilling in the kitchen, wearing a valentine heart hat, drinking water thru a straw
out of a popcorn container, and pretending like it aint no thing!
Haha! What a stud he is!
Gosh. I love having a son.

Hello!

This girl LOVES the telephone.
She is always pretending something is a phone (in this case, lu's ipod) and talking up a storm in it
"Hel-whoa (hello) Sara? Hi! No! Happy Birthday! Bye!"
or
"Hel-whoa Grandma Debbie! (or Grammy or Papa) Hi! I love you!! Okay Bye!"
It is so cute. I am in love.

Looks like she got a good text :)

I know. We're in trouble.
I can already see the bill

and the boys.
gulp.

I hope I remember...

  • The Rockstar and Gigi playing on the lego table every morning. (saves me)
  • Gigi always pretending to be on the phone.
  • How it is possible for a brother and sister to be best of friends.
  • The sweetest 2 year old face in creation.
I hope I always remember just how glorious this time of life is.
It is hard. I cry and am frustrated a lot.
But mostly it is an amazing experience raising these 3 precious beings.
It kills me to think how fast they are growing.
I am grateful for this blog and especially my blog books from previous years that remind me
just how great it has all been and how fun each stage is.

Seriously, Life is so good.

More Green Smoothies

I have been meaning to post some more green smoothies on here for quite a while.
Remember, when I told you all I went on a yeast cleanse?
Well, the only way I survived the
(no sugar, no honey, no sucanat, no dried fruit, no vinegar, no cheese, no smiling :))
3 weeks was because of green smoothies.
Seriously, I love the taste (promise you will too after a while) and they are so filling.
I discovered a few more recipes that I love and I thought I would share.
Orange Coconut
2 cups water
1 Tbsp flax seed
2 Tbsp coconut oil
2 handfuls of spinach
2-3 big leaves of Kale
1 banana
1 orange
2 drops of wild orange essential oil (optional)
ice

Super yummy!
And these measurements are a total guess, I usually just wing my smoothies.

Parsley Smoothie
1/2 bunch curly parsley
1 orange
1 banana
1 c water
ice

And I think I have posted this one on here, but I love this smoothie
Banana Kale Smoothie
1-2 cups water, rice milk, or almond milk
1 banana
3-4 large leaves Kale
1 Tbsp flax seed
1-2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
ice.

There you are. Hope you try them and let me know what you think.
Just remember that when it comes to green smoothies...less is more.
Don't put a tiny bit of greens and then try to mask the taste by putting in sweetened yogurts,
concentrated juices, and sugar. The result will be a muddy nasty drink,
plus it kind of defeats the purpose of trying to be healthy.
Also, listen to your body. Right now I am not craving green smoothies,
so I am trusting that I don't need them as much right now.
Just like the best diet book in the world says (D&C 89) eat food in season.
And I would add to trust your body. It knows what it needs.
Happy Health!

Gigi

This girl makes us smile every single day.
Life just doesn't seem possible without our Gigi.
Such a big personality in a tiny package and we love it.
Kisses baby girl. Kisses.

Mite-Mite

Gigi has an addiction...
 to her "mite-mite"
known to others throughout the world as a blankie.
This mite mite is the fave (made by Lacey) and she carts it around everywhere
grocery stores, church, grammy's house, and even grumpy face time on the kitchen counter.
Ha. That pic seriously makes me want one for myself.
Seems like life would be a little softer with a mite mite.
:)

Road Trips

I came across these pictures from our trip to Idaho for Christmas.
We left at 5 in the morning and since we don't ever have a TV/movies in our car
(you thought no one still traveled like that huh :))
it made for a great ride.
Don't you just love your sleeping children!?

I sure do love them.
